The Easter Weekend
This weekend was a blast. Ren's (my hostmom) twinsister and her 5 children came all the way from Idaho to spend it with us, and it turned put to be quite nice. Breanna, Blake, Tucker, Russ, and little 11 month old Ben really made it fun, and we all got along great. On Saturday was our easter egg hunt, and Ren and Cass (the twin) hid over a hundred pieces of candy encased in plastic eggs, and made us go find them. It was a lot of fun, and today I still have candy left. Sunday was our spiritual celebration of easter, with a trip to the church and a day spent without Tv or computers. Just like any other Sunday, just this time we did it all as a big (14 people) family, bringing out the real, christian meaning of easter: the sacrifice on our behalf, and the bonds of family. Not necessarily candy. Hmm, very profound, deep even.
Today was spent not doing anything, Cass and the kids left at about 6:00 in the morning, and they brought the neighbor's dog along with them. The neighbors, the Halls, didn't feel like keeping their blond lab anymore, so Cass brought it back to her farm in Idaho. C.W. was the dog's name. Blake's new dog.
I am not going to mention that we (Ren, Bekkah, and I) walked all the way to WalMart today (yey, a mile), since Tim took the only car left after Larry took his car to the airport when he left for a week on Sunday, to go to a movie. I just did mention it. No I didn't. Oh, never mind.
